Spot trading lets you buy and sell crypto assets at the current market price, with immediate settlement. Unlike perpetual futures, spot trades involve direct ownership of the asset — no leverage, no funding rates.

Order Types
Grvt Spot supports three order types:
Market Order executes immediately at the best available price. Use this when speed matters more than precision.
Limit Order: Sets a specific price at which you want to buy or sell. The order will only fill at your specified price or better.
Scale Order: Places multiple limit orders across a price range, allowing you to average into or out of a position gradually.
How to Place a Spot Trade
Navigate to Trade
Select the trading pair (e.g. USDC/USDT).
Select Spot
Choose your order type: Market, Limit, or Scale.
Enter the amount you want to buy or sell.
Review the order details, then click Buy or Sell to confirm.
Your order will appear in the Open Orders panel until it is filled or cancelled.
Minimum Trade Size
Minimum Order Size: 1 USDC
Minimum Order Value: 5 USDT
Spot Trading Fees
Spot trading fees are based on whether your order is a maker or taker:
Taker: Your order fills immediately against existing liquidity (e.g. a market order).
Maker: Your order adds liquidity to the order book and waits to be filled (e.g. a limit order that doesn't fill immediately).

Settlement
Spot trades settle instantly. Once your order is filled, the purchased asset is credited to your Funding Account immediately.
FAQs
Can I use leverage on spot trades? No. Spot trading on Grvt does not support leverage. You can only trade with funds you hold in your account.
Where do my spot assets go after a trade? Filled spot trades settle directly into the Spot wallet of the trading account
Are spot trades eligible for Earn on Equity? Earn on Equity applies to USDT in the Trading Account Spot Wallet, too, but non-USDT assets in the Trading Account Spot Wallet are not eligible for Earn on Equity.
Does spot trading count toward my fee tier? Yes, 30-day trading volume calculated for the fee tier is based on perps+spot trading volume
Can I cancel a spot order? Yes. Open orders can be cancelled at any time from the Open Orders panel before they are filled.
