Price Alerts on Grvt

Grvt Price Alerts are designed to help you monitor market movements on Perpetual Contracts without needing to stay glued to your screen. You can set custom triggers for specific price levels, volatility, or rapid market shifts to ensure you never miss a trading opportunity.

Where to Set an Alert

On the web trading page, navigate to the trading interface of your chosen Perpetual Contract. Click the Bell Icon located in the top-right toolbar of the chart area.

On the mobile trading page, navigate to the upper right corner … Quick Access menu. Click the Price Alerts Bell Icon.

Alert Types and Conditions

The system supports several trigger conditions based on real-time market data:

  • Price Reaches: Triggers when the price either falls to or rises to your specific target value.

  • Price Moves Above: Triggers only when the price crosses upward past your target (strict inequality).

  • Price Moves Below: Triggers only when the price crosses downward past your target (strict inequality).

Configuration Parameters

When creating an alert, you can customize the following options:

  • Price Type: When creating an alert, you can customize the price type you want the system to monitor. Choosing the right price type depends on your specific trading strategy:

    • Last Price: The most recent transaction price executed on the market. This is generally the best choice for fast-paced strategies like scalping or momentum trading.

    • Mark Price: The calculated fair value of the contract designed to prevent market manipulation. This is the ideal metric to use when monitoring for potential liquidation risks.

    • Index Price: The aggregate spot price across major exchanges. Choose this option if your goal is to track and follow broader macro market trends.

    • Mid Price: The exact midpoint between the highest current bid (buy price) and the lowest current ask (sell price) in the order book. This is useful for gauging the true current center of the market while filtering out the noise of the bid-ask spread.

  • Frequency:

    • Once Only: The alert triggers once and is then disabled. You can reactivate from the price alert list.

    • Repeat: The alert triggers every time the condition is met, subject to a cooldown period (e.g., every 1 or 5 minutes) to avoid notification spam.

  • Notes: Add a personal reminder of up to 40 characters (e.g., "Short entry stop loss").

Notification Channels

Grvt delivers alerts through multiple channels to ensure you stay informed:

  • Mobile App Push: Notifications appear on your lock screen and notification shade. Tapping the notification deep-links you directly to the relevant trading screen.

  • Web Interface: Real-time "Toast" or "Snackbar" pop-ups appear within the trading platform. You can also enable an optional "Ping" sound effect.

Limits and Validations

To ensure system stability, the following restrictions apply:

  • Quantity Limits: Users are limited to 50 active alerts total and a maximum of 5 alerts per specific trading pair.

  • Price Validations: Alert prices cannot be negative or set deviate 500% from the current market price.

  • Expiration: "Once Only" alerts that are not triggered within 90 days will automatically expire.

Important Disclaimers

  • Latency: Notifications may be delayed by network conditions; you should not rely on alerts as your sole method for risk management.

  • Maintenance: If a price target is crossed while the exchange is down for maintenance, the alert will not be delivered in time.

  • Delisting: If a trading pair is delisted, all associated active alerts will be automatically removed.
