Account Security

To secure your GRVT account, users rely on their registered email and password. If someone gains control of your email, they could potentially access your GRVT account. To enhance security, we recommend the following measures:

  • Use a Strong Password: Ensure your password is unique and strong, and avoid reusing it across other websites. A password with at least 12 characters, including a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters, is strongly recommended.

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): For an additional layer of security, enable 2FA. This will require a unique code, generated by a 2FA app on your device, each time you log in to your GRVT account, in addition to your email and password.

  • Protect Against Identity Theft: Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal information to impersonate you, potentially opening accounts or conducting transactions in your name. We strongly advise you to keep your identification documents (e.g., National ID, Passport) secure and avoid sharing them with others.

Scams

Scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their efforts to trick users into revealing personal information, such as passwords, 2FA codes, and other sensitive data. Be aware of the following tactics:

  • Phishing Websites: Be cautious of fake websites that mimic GRVT’s official site to steal your login credentials. Always ensure you are on the correct website, https://grvt.io/.

  • Email Phishing: Verify the email domain when receiving emails purportedly from GRVT. Official communications will only come from email addresses ending in @grvt.io.

  • Fake Twitter (X) Campaigns/Accounts: Scammers may impersonate GRVT or its representatives to share links to phishing websites or solicit personal information.

  • GRVT Employee Impersonators: GRVT employees will never request your password or 2FA code to authorize a transaction. If you encounter any issues with your account, always contact us at [email protected].

  • Malware: Protect your device against malware, which could enable scammers to gain unauthorized access. Avoid downloading suspicious apps, documents, or files from untrusted sources.

What to Do if Your GRVT Account is Hacked

If your GRVT account is compromised, take the following steps immediately:

  1. Contact GRVT Support: Submit a ticket to the GRVT Support team by emailing [email protected] to report any suspicious activity.

  2. Change Your Password: Immediately update your password to a strong and unique combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: If not already enabled, activate 2FA to add an extra layer of security.

  4. Scan for Malware: Run a comprehensive scan of your device using a reputable antivirus program to check for malware or viruses that could have facilitated the hack.

  5. Update Software: Ensure all your software and applications are updated to the latest versions to benefit from the most recent security patches.

  6. Monitor Your Account: Keep a close eye on your account for any further unauthorized access. Report any suspicious activity immediately.

Acting quickly and following these steps can help minimize the impact of a hacked account and safeguard your personal information.
