What are backup codes for GRVT Native SecureKey?

Backup codes are used to recover your GRVT Native SecureKey should you lose access to all the passkeys that can sign transactions on your behalf. It will help you set-up new passkeys at the end of backup.

You have the option to generate multiple backup codes for added security. To generate a backup code for your GRVT Native SecureKey:

  1. Navigate to the sidebar menu > Settings > SecureKey.

  2. Navigate to Backup codes and select Create.

  3. Follow the instructions to generate another backup code.

  4. Store your backup code in a secure location.

Some tips to secure storage of your backup codes:

  • Use a password manager

  • Store the backup codes on an encrypted USB drive or external hard drive

  • Avoid digital screenshots

  • Avoid storage in plain text files or emails

  • Use strong, unique passwords for all your storage devices
