It might be the case that you do not have access to your passkey or are using the incorrect one. To learn more of about passkeys and to find out if you are affected by this situation, please read the following article about passkeys.

If this is not the case, then you may need to initiate the recover process for your GRVT SecureKey using backup codes.

Process for recovering your GRVT SecureKey using backup codes:

  1. Login to your GRVT account and navigate to the sidebar menu (Settings β†’ SecureKey β†’ Backup Codes β†’ Recover)

  2. Once you initiate the recovery process, enter the email that you registered your GRVT account with.

  3. You should receive an email with the verification code necessary to proceed with the recovery process.

  4. Enter the values requested on the 'Recover your account' step as shown in image (b). Take note that the backup codes (Recovery Code and Recovery Key ID) should be similar to the format shown in image (a).

  5. Select a passkey authentication method of your choice, which will be required when utilizing your GRVT SecureKey.

  6. The final step is to make sure that you store your backup codes in a secure location as outlined in this article. Once that is complete, the recovery process is now finished and you can start using your GRVT SecureKey.

What are some steps I can perform to prevent this from happening in the future again:

  1. Add a Secondary SecureKey to your GRVT account which will allow you to use your GRVT SecureKey in the case that you lose your passkey and or backup code for your primary SecureKey.

  2. Make sure you have your backup codes stored securely in the case that you need to perform the recovery process for your GRVT SecureKey.
