Option 1 — Quick pop-up update
When you log in, a Dfns → Privy update pop-up appears. Click Update.
A verification email containing a code is sent to your account email address.
Open the email, copy the verification code, paste it into the pop-up.
After verification, your wallet is updated to an email-based Privy wallet.
If you missed the pop-up notice, you could also change it in your account Security Page.
Option 2 — Manual via Security page
A. Add Privy as a Secondary SecureKey
Go to Security Page
Under Web3 Security, and click Add a secondary SecureKey.
Select Grvt SecureKey.
A verification email with a code will be sent to your account email address.
Enter the verification code on the site and confirm.
Authorize the new secondary SecureKey — you will now see Privy listed under Secondary SecureKeys.
B. Make Privy your Signing SecureKey
7. Still in Security, find Signing SecureKey and click Change SecureKey.
8. Select the newly added Grvt (Privy) SecureKey, toggle the confirmation checkbox, and confirm.
9. Approve with SecureKey, your wallet is now updated to an email-based Privy wallet.
Troubleshooting
No email received: check spam/junk, ensure your account email is correct, then resend the code from the UI.
Popup didn’t appear: use Option 2 (manual flow).
Error when changing Signing SecureKey: ensure Privy is added and authorized as a Secondary SecureKey first, then retry steps 7–9.
Suspicious emails or errors: stop and contact Grvt Support. Never share verification codes.
