Applies to: Users with a legacy passkey-based account powered by DFNS.
Passkeys based GRVT Native SecureKey secured by Dfns support has been discontinued for new users. For existing users, please switch to using an external wallet or use an email based SecureKey.
Am I a DFNS user?
You are likely on a legacy DFNS account if either of the following applies to you:
You were prompted to use a passkey to log in or sign transactions on GRVT
You see a "DFNS" or "DFNS Unauthorized" error message when trying to log in
I'm a DFNS user - what should I do?
If you still have your backup code, you can recover your account yourself by following these steps:
Log in to your GRVT account at https://grvt.io/exchange/login
Go to Settings > SecureKey > Backup Codes > Recover
Enter your registered email address to receive a verification code
Input the verification code along with your Recovery Code and Recovery Key ID
For more detailed guidance, refer to: How do I manage my GRVT Native SecureKey credentials?
Since DFNS-based passkeys are no longer supported for new accounts, we recommend migrating your signing method to a wallet-based or email-based SecureKey. This ensures you have a more reliable way to access your account going forward.
To learn how to switch, refer to: How do I set up a Secondary SecureKey? and How do I switch my Signing SecureKey to a Secondary SecureKey?
If you no longer have your backup code, account recovery requires manual assistance from our support team. What should you do?
Please contact our support team for assistance:
Open a support ticket or email us at [email protected]
Describe your issue and include the account ID or email address associated with your account
Our team will review your case and follow up with the next steps. Please note that this process may take some time, and not all cases can proceed to recovery.
What if recovery is not possible?
If we are unable to recover your account, we recommend creating a new GRVT account to continue trading. Our team is happy to assist you with the onboarding process.
