What are my on-chain and off-chain credentials?

In GRVT, each user has both on-chain and off-chain credentials. GRVT account structure follows the principle of one user, one email, one SecureKey.

On-chain credentials (Emails)

Each user must sign-up via email with password setup or Google/Microsoft OAuth. This grants access to non-trading features such as completing your KYC, joining reward programs, and so on. It also allows you to view your portfolio and positions.

Off-chain credentials (SecureKey)

Each user then must register a SecureKey on GRVT to enable trading features on-chain. Only trades signed with registered SecureKeys can be executed by our trading engine. Only you have full control and access to the assets on your registered SecureKey. For more information, check What is a SecureKey.

Business Account credentials

At GRVT, the off-chain and on-chain IDs for Business Account users are represented as follows.

Note: The Funding Account address is set as the default on-chain ID of the first user who registered the Business Account. Their permission settings cannot be changed in that they will permanently remain a Funding Admin. Other users invited by the registrant can subsequently be made Funding Admin as well.
